The Twenty-second Annual Utah Winter Finance Conference will be held February 9-11, 2012. The opening reception begins Wednesday evening, February 8th. The 2012 UWFC will be held at the Cliff Lodge at Snowbird.
Papers are reviewed for selection by the review committee in a double-blind referee process. Only ten papers are selected for the UWFC each year.

CONFERENCE WEBCASTING:
We will webcast live the presentations and discussions of the 2012 UWFC (and store the videos on our website
for future viewing) as was done in 2010 and 2011. Following the 2010 UWFC, our website experienced a total of
18,614 visits by 5,203 unique visitors from
84 different countries (top 10 countries: US, China, UK,
Australia, Israel, Germany, India, Canada, Japan, Korea).
BEST PAPER AWARD:
There is a $1,000 best paper award. The best paper is selected by a vote of the participants at the end of the last session.
SHMUEL KANDEL AWARD FOR AN OUTSTANDING DOCTORAL STUDENT IN FINANCIAL ECONOMICS:
The Utah Winter Finance Conference offers a $2,500 award to an outstanding PhD student in financial economics honoring the memory of Shmuel Kandel. The student will attend the UWFC and must also participate in the Student Utah Winter Finance Conference (SUWFC) held the Friday following the UWFC at the University of Utah (the student is invited to remain in Utah between “conferences” or may travel in the intermediate period).
Interested students should submit a completed paper (the paper will not be considered for the UWFC program, but the paper can be submitted to the conference separately) and two letters of recommendation from their committee members. The submission will be done directly on our web site under the submission menu area.
